That weekend while visiting friends to watch football on Saturday afternoon she fell in their kitchen and hit a cabinet pull. Jim quickly picked up and held her just thinking she would have a bruise but when he moved her back to look at it, blood was just running down her face. Poor thing had split her head open and it was bad. We knew we had to go to the ER. We are so lucky that Jim works with so many great surgeons and one of them met us at the ER and sowed her up for us. It was so nice to have a familiar face because they had to sedate her and it was awful. She got four stitches and after being sick all night from the meds she was back to her old self again the next day. It did not phase her one bit.
Just that next week the day before her stitches were to come out, she fell again at daycare!! This time running to the playground because she was so excited to be outside and a little boy fell on top of her and smashed her poor little face in the concrete. So now her face looks like this.
I have invested in some good scar scream and lots of neosporin and baid-aids for this little dare-devil. She is rough, tough and independent. I don't think pageants, princesses and frilly dresses are in our near future.
